Phoenix Fire Department technical rescue teams have successfully rescued a 60s female from the dreamy draw side of Piestewa Peak. The hiker started out this morning around 8:30 AM. She became overheated and weak 1/2 a mile into her hike. Crews hiked up the trail, made contact and started IV fluid therapy on the hiker. Once the patient was stable, rescuers safely transported her to the trail head. The hiker was transported to the hospital by fire department ambulance. | Phoenix Fire Department

Phoenix Fire special operations crews rescue a worker stuck in a tree this afternoon. He was unable to get down when his equipment failed but after assisting him to the ground with Ladder 22 he was luckily found to be uninjured. 🇺🇸🚒 | Phoenix Fire Department

Crews from both Phoenix and Glendale Fire Departments on scene of an apartment fire early this morning. While responding to the fire, crews received reports of a possible victim trapped inside. Firefighters quickly made a search of the small apartment while the fire raged and found a man in respiratory distress. They rescued him from the apartment and transferred him to another crew waiting outside the door. The man was in respiratory arrest and was transported to the hospital for further treatm

The 60 recruits displayed their new skills for friends and family at family night on Friday, ending the night with the ceremonial burning of their red recruit shirts as they transition to blues.
