7TH - Design & Invention on Instagram: "* AWESOME MECHANISM ALERT * Recently, working on the design of laparoscopy devices I stumbled across this absolute gem of a mechanism (taking apart a competitor product for parts to use in an experiment!) Yes, it’s a lovely, simple click-to-lock, click-to-return latching mechanism but there’s a lot more to it… The level of detail here in design for simplicity, design for low cost, design for high reliability and ease of manufacture are all off the charts.
