Formula One is returning to an iconic circuit for the first time in six years following the cancellation of two races in April. There is a lengthy break until the action returns at next month's Miami Grand Prix after the scheduled races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were scrubbed from the calendar.

The first races under Formula 1’s new regulations delivered exactly what the sport’s rule-makers had hoped for: more overtaking. At the recent Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, passes on track nearly tripled compared with the previous year. At the Chinese Grand Prix over the weekend the increase was less extreme, but still noticeable.

Formula 1 and its governing body FIA said the Grand Prix races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will not happen in April because of safety concerns related to the Iran war.

The FIA have announced a change in one of their racing series' calendar, following the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend. Two new races have been added to the F1 Academy schedule in order to make up for the cancellation of that race weekend at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix announced ticket sales for its 2026 race weekend, scheduled for Nov. 19-21.
